"Five people have submitted paperwork to fill a vacant seat on the San Mateo County Harbor Commission following the death of Commissioner Leo Padreddii. The four sitting commissioners will interview candidates and appoint a new board member at a special meeting scheduled for 5 p.m. Wednesday.

....  On Wednesday, the Harbor Commission will ask questions and interview the five candidates in open session. The commission will rank the candidates’ answers on a 1-to-10 scale, and the scores will be tallied to determine the new board member, explained Harbor General Manager Peter Grenell in a memo. The scoring sheets will be available for public review, he noted.

The candidate interviews will take place at 5 p.m. at the Comfort Inn at 2930 Cabrillo Highway in Half Moon Bay. The new commissioner will be sworn into office and seated before the start of the 7 p.m. regular commission meeting."   Read article.
