Sentencing for death of Keith Coffey, 16 years to life

.... "Marc Anthony Furlan appeared in San Mateo County Superior Court for sentencing Friday, after a jury convicted him of murdering 24-year-old Kevin Coffey.During his sentencing, Furlan apologized to Coffey’s family in court, saying he never intended for this to happen, said Assistant District Attorney Al Serrato.

....  Furlan received 15 years to life, plus an additional year for use of deadly weapon, Assistant District Attorney Serrato said. He was also ordered to pay restitution to the family, which will be determined at a later date, Serrato said.

.... Furlan was arrested after police were called to the home he shared with his father and two tenants on Dell Road in the early morning of Oct. 17, 2012. .... ... A jury convicted Furlan June 8, 2016, after six hours of deliberation, according to prosecutors."  Read article.
