Resource Center fundraiser, SVGives match, Tuesday May 3, 2016

The following letter was sent in an email to members of the public.  Think about donating to the Pacifica Resource Center?  Tuesday, May 3rd may be the best day of the year to do that.

Dear Friends of the Pacifica Resource Center,
Tomorrow Tuesday, May 3, 2016, we are participating in Silicon Valley Gives (SVGives), a 24-hour online fundraising effort, hosted by Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
By donating to the PRC during SVGives, we have an opportunity to earn matching funds, or prize money, from SVGives sponsors.
The following are some key moments throughout the day that give us the best chances of winning prize money:
9:00-10:00a - dollar for dollar matches up to $1,000 for donations to any nonprofit on a first come, first served basis. Sponsored by the Skoll Foundation.
5:00-6:00p - dollar for dollar matches up to $1,000 for donations to any nonprofit on a first come, first served basis. Sponsored by the Skoll Foundation.
8:00a-5:00p - Heritage Bank of Commerce Golden Ticket, random draw prizes of $250 awarded hourly. Sponsored by Heritage Bank of Commerce.
Top 10 Humanitarian Aid nonprofits with the most unique donors at the end of SVGive each win a $2,500 prize. Sponsored by The Grove Foundation.
Golden Ticket, random draw prizes of $333 or $207 awarded hourly. sponsored by SVCF.

Related.  From the Letter, P.S. link (above).  "For every $1 the Pacifi ca Resource Center receives from the city, we leverage another $12 in support for our community. Since 2004, the PRC has received $83,000 each year from the City to provide a safety net of food, housing assistance, and other critical services to Pacifi ca residents. This investment generates over $1,000,000 in goods and services that would not otherwise be available in Paci fica."   Facebook.
