Hello...
Jerry Hirsch had a morning walk he'll never forget. He was with his black lab "Boomer" when a coyote emerged from the bushes. "It basically charged at us from the bush and came straight at us," Hirsch said. "I yelled really hard at it and at last minute it kind of pivoted and it just turned and ran back that way."

....  If all else fails, California Fish and Wildlife says because coyotes are not protected in anyway, property owners have a right to hire a company to trap and euthanize the animals. Residents hope it won't have to come to that. So for now, they're just spreading the word to be on the lookout. "I think most of the time you're not going to have a problem, but I think in a situation like this, this particular coyote is really not afraid of people, so just watch out," Hirsch said." ReferenceCA Fish and Wildlife/Coyote index.  Coyote facts. NatureWorks, The coyote has grayish-brown to yellowish-brown fur on top and whitish fur on its underparts. It has large triangular ears on the top of its head and a long, narrow muzzle. It has a black nose; yellow eyes; and a long, bushy tail. One way to tell the coyote apart from wolves and dogs is to watch its tail when it runs. The coyote runs with its tail down. Dogs run with their tails up, and wolves run with their tails straight out.    LiveScience, Coyotes are members of the Canidae family and share a lot of the same traits of their relatives: wolves, dogs, foxes and jackals. Desert USA/Coyotes, "Coyote behavior." ....  Coyotes can easily leap an eight foot fence or wall. They have been spotted climbing over a 14 foot cyclone fence.  ....  Coyotes have a good sense of smell, vision and hearing which, coupled with evasiveness, enables them to survive both in the wild and occasionally in the suburban areas of large cities. They are common in most rural areas, but because of their secretive nature, few are seen. Efforts to control or exterminate the coyote by predator control agents seem to have produced an animal that is extremely alert and wary and well able to maintain itself." This time it might be helpful to hear from environmentalists with any other possible solutions. There is nothing new about coyotes (and other wild animals) living in open space lands, co-existing with us.
