NIMBY mantra.
What a waste of potential. Seven very intelligent people who are volunteering their time to assisting this City with planning issues and staff can't put together some subcommittees on the General Plan,Affordable housing,how to move the beach Blvd. project forward.How about a joint meeting or series of meetings with the Economic Development Committee on how to kick-start business in Pacifica.
IDK. Is it stream-lining or lack of actual work that has idled the PC? I mean, Pacifica has never been a beehive of construction-related activity and yet regular, public, televised meetings were held in the past. They showcased a lack of enthusiasm for development. Was that the problem? Are we seeing an administrative, wily bureaucrat solution to a PR problem? Now if only maximizing city revenue from the remaining scraps was that easy. That is the priority, right?
Give people of the caliber who are appointed to the Planning Commission a task an the sky is the limit. Bore them with make work an you have talented people who just show up. What a waste!!!!!
