City opens a new communication forum

City of Pacifica Press Release, 2/4/15 - Pacifica Launches "City Hall Listens".

Go on, say something nice...
If its not a Snowy Plover, its food
.... "City officials will read the statements and incorporate them into the decision-making process. This is the latest way the City is enhancing its communication efforts with the community.  City Hall Listens will empower residents' participation by providing them information on each issue to enrich online comments and to provide more opportunities for citizen interaction and engagement.

"We want the community to be part of the public process," said City Manager Lorie Tinfow. "City Hall Listens provides residents with an alternative to attending regular City meetings.  Instead, they can get information and participate in City decisions from the privacy and convenience of their own home."

"Welcome to Pacifica’s online forum for civic engagement! City officials will read your input and incorporate it into their decision process." Awww, a council fan club. How much is this PR move costing the taxpayers? Inevitable. I predict a steady stream of positive feedback. That's heady, intoxicating stuff. Empowering. Enabling. Useful. Thanks for your support.
Can't wait for the autographed photos and trading cards.

A crock just like the city's Nextdoor site. We don't want citizens and taxpayers to post, we just want to feed the people more BS.
