The San Mateo County Charter Review Committee wrapped up six-months of meetings and debates on June 23rd and will provide recommendations on five possible County Charter changes to the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors at the tomorrow, June 29th, board meeting. The Charter Review Committee is the ad hoc board, empanelled every eight years, charged with reviewing and making recommendations for revising and updating the County’s Charter—a document akin to a local constitution that governs San Mateo County’s governmental structure and a variety of major policies. read more
