Applicants Sought for Police Chief's Advisory Panel

May 2, 2022

PACIFICA, CA: The Chief of Police is currently seeking applicants for the Pacifica Police Department Police Chief’s Advisory Panel. The primary purpose of the Chief's Advisory Panel is to provide a forum with key stakeholders regarding law enforcement policies and law enforcement response to issues within the community.

The Chief's Advisory Panel is not a review Panel of specific police actions, whether internal or external, but a forum for discussions concerning community concerns and leveraging the experience of persons outside of policing to benefit the Department and the community. The ideal Chief’s Advisory Panel will be comprised of a diverse cross-section of community members representative of the City of Pacifica. The collective thoughts and opinions of all members drives the Panel and reflect holistic views that serve as catalysts for the integration of community viewpoints into police department planning/strategies.

Panelists will meet as a group with the Chief of Police once per month, and may serve for a three-year period. Panelists must be a resident or business owner/operator in Pacifica.

The Pacifica Police Department recognizes the value of communications with the community and looks forward to this exciting new communication platform.

The deadline apply for this important panel is May 23, 2022. Applications may be obtained at the Pacifica Police Department, or located online at: Pacifica Police Department

Questions may be directed to Chief Daniel Steidle at steidled@pacificapolice.org.
