Pacifica is attracting more vehicle dwellers with our lax stance on parking. A dump site will only send a signal that we are a place to literally “dump on”

Clearly you do not understand the concept. That's OK, ignorance is bliss. There will be no "Bat Signal" saying dump here. Can you explain why HMB does not have an RV issue yet it has 2 public (pay) dump sites? Right now , as it exists, Pac does say "dump on" me. You do realize an RV ordinance is in the pipe (pun) right? I sure hope you don't store or live in your RV on the street, that's not safe or healthy for anyone.

Because HMB doesn't have it's head up it's ass and implemented a parking ordinance that prohibits RV street parking, you dolt. It's not all that complicated.

BTW, thanks for posting "The Dalles Chronicle" article. This is another well thought out, practical way to bring health and safety back to our communities. I'm glad to see the people who put up with this, and pay for it in many ways, finally figuring out we have no more cheeks to turn.

Come to council meeting and see what people think of dump site in park.

I'm still trying to figure out what a dolt is. What "Park" are you talking about ?? I just love rumors and mis-info, don't you? See you at Council, I'll be the one wearing the "what's a dolt" shirt and the "ignorance is bliss" truckers hat.

COUNCIL, REPEAT AFTER ME said...

C'mon Council, this is not complicated. Grab that microphone and repeat after me:

RVs are not a long-term housing solution.

Pacifica's streets are not a long-term RV parking solution.

We are banning overnight RV parking.

Local residents are eligible for a 72-hour overnight exemption (require a utility bill or some dumb online form with a local address posted in the vehicle window).

If RVs are towed because they can't or won't move, displaced occupants will be treated as those whose house has just been red-tagged. They will be directed to the appropriate local and county agencies that exist to serve this very purpose: providing shelter/re-homing options with a path towards permanent housing.

stop drinking the PPA (12 members only) koolaid. it's crazy to think the city has to create and implement an entire new social services program from scratch before it can begin enforcing an existing vehicle code.

get real, pacifica

I'm still trying to figure out what a dolt is.

A dolt is someone who is so stupid, they don't realize that the entire goddamn point of an RV dump is to encourage RVs to dump there. So we're talking really, really stupid. Pants-on-head stuff.

Hmmmmm.....gee...when a home in Pacifica doesn't have a working connection to the sewer....what happens to the home and the people who live in it? Treat RVs the same way.

i dream of a future when pacifica police cease issuing tickets because continuing to do so would be disrepectful to our beautiful inner human beauty.

when "left" ideology supported by freedoms and quality of living derived with judicious implementation of capitalist/liberal economics runs rampant ..

Estimated $64M loss as SF's 'poor street conditions,' high costs drive out Oracle's OpenWorld

If you want turd lined streets with used needles and the kind of "Bacteria-Culture" that currently plagues San Francisco .. yes, support vagrants living on wheels wherever in Pacifica.

Quality of life, property values, safety and public health be damned .. let our hearts bleed!!!
