I'm betting Bridget Duffy goes completely off the reservation. She's certifiably insane I think. It'll be entertaining to say the least.

Adonica Shaw Porter aka Adonica Marie Porter

In Adonica Shaw's official candidate statement (submitted to San Mateo County) and throughout her web and social media postings, she refers to herself as a “San Mateo County Commissioner.” There is no evidence that this is true.

Porter does not sit on any county commission, nor was she “commissioned;” she is a member of the Co-Applicant Board for San Mateo County’s Health Care for the Homeless/Farmworker Heath Program (“HCH/FH”). Members are officially recognized and referred to as “Board Members” by the county--not “Commissioners.”

Adonica Porter submitted her official papers to run for Pacifica City Council along with a candidate statement on August 2. The candidate statement she submitted is what will appear on the November 6 Voter Guide.

In her candidate statement, Porter states: “I’ve reduced barriers to healthcare through my work with the San Mateo County Healthcare for the (HCH/FH) Co-Applicant Board.”

At the time she submitted this statement (Aug. 2), she hadn't attended a meeting, having missed all the HCH/FH meetings after her appointment to the Board--including the meeting when she was appointed. As of September 12, 2018, Porter has attended only a single meeting of this board--that of August 9, one week after her candidate statement was submitted to the County.

Timeline:

• April 12, 2018 - HCH/FH Board Meeting - Adonica Porter is appointed to the Board. She is absent.

• May 10, 2018 - HCH/FH Board Meeting - Adonica Porter is absent

• June 14, 2018 - HCH/FH Board Meeting - Adonica Porter is absent

• July 12, 2018 - HCH/FH Board Meeting - Adonica Porter is absent

• August 2, 2018 - Porter submits her Official Candidate Statement to appear on the ballot, which states: “I’ve reduced barriers to healthcare through my work with the San Mateo County Healthcare for the (HCH/FH) Co-Applicant Board.”

• August 9, 2018 - HCH/FH Board Meeting - Adonica Porter attends her first board meeting

Maybe she should appear on Wavelenghts and tell her side of the story.

If Adonica goes on Wavelengths she can also explain why she's going around saying she has Kevin Mullin's endorsement when she doesn't.

Or why she's going around saying she's a member of the Pacifica Lions Club when she hasn't even applied to it.

Or why she lied to the San Mateo County Dems and said no, she hasn't been charged with a crime or is under criminal investigation... when she has a criminal jury trial in October for hit-and-run and driving without a license.

Or exactly which YMCA Board she claims to be a member of.

I've believe that Adonica has only lived in Pacifica for a year-and-a-half.

Speaking of candidates, the house down the street from me has 2 signs in front; 1 said "NO MANAGED RETREAT", While the second sign nearby said "JOHN KEENER for Council". I laughed at first glance, but soon after I smelled a rat. Am I being paranoid or is Keener trying to deceive or confuse the voters. I going with the latter.

Keener isn't all that smart, so this is most likely just a homeowner who doesn't understand that Keener doesn't intend to do squat when it comes to protecting anything in Pacifica that isn't a bird, frog or snake.

Keener makes vague comments in public that try to make you think he might be for protecting homes, but then you read his behind the scenes comments to the Coastal Commission or to his wackadoodle Pacifica Politburo Alliance (PPA) backers and the jig is up. The guy doesn't give a flying eff about the people and communities living west of highway one.

Why does this blog always pick and choose who they allow smut and public records to be printed about? You post them for one, post them for all!

The Watcher said...

Markus, I saw those sounds. You can't have both from Keener. Homeowner is either deceived or something else.

Steve Sinai said...

@Markus, that sounds like a clueless homeowner more than anything else.

I went to the managed retreat meeting at the community center today. Very mixed messages from those in favor of managed retreat.

On the one hand, Keener and a group of his savvier supporters insist that they are for protecting property, and that property owners west of Highway 1 have no need to worry because the city has every intention of armoring the coast and replenishing the beach with sand. Therefore, managed retreat won't be necessary. It came off as disingenuous.

The less sophisticated NIMBYS (you can tell who they were because they were wearing sandals) were all insisting that managed retreat is inevitable because the city will never have the money for armoring the coast or replenishing the beach. That undercut the "don't worry about it" message.

@9:23, whose public records are you referring to that we haven't posted? There have been instances in the past where people have made criminal accusations without any evidence, and those never got posted. If a city candidate or official has a criminal record, you can bet that we'll be willing to post those.

Okay 9:23, you got it!

San Mateo Criminal Court Case No. 18-NM-002809-A; filed on March 15, 2018

Her criminal jury trial is set to begin at 9:00 AM on Monday, September 17, 2018.

Not sure who is posting all of this stuff about Shaw Porter.

If anyone was curious you could call her directly or ask anyone in her camp about the nonsense thats on this board.

If she does do a rebuttal I'm sure she'll want to find out why Mark S. is calling her kids schools to see if they are in class, contacting her commission, or actively trying to get endorsements pulled in favor of Beckmeyer.

9:33-

...contacting her commission,...

Please provide any evidence that Adonica Shaw Porter is a "San Mateo County Commissioner."

Anonymous said...

No one is contacting "her commission" because she isn't on one. She's not a commissioner.

Porter is a boardmember of a co-applicant health program, but even that's stretching things because she's only attended ONE SINGLE MEETING and didn't bother showing up for any of the rest.

Her endorsements and supporters obviously haven't done the most basic fact checking of her bio.
