The Keener show, will he or will he not? Be a jerk, that is. I think it's in his DNA to be a jerk. Deny 15 thousand people a vote. Who's he think he is, Putin?

Happens all the time in Congress.Ask Obama!

You, you, you people voted Keener into Office.

You should have known he was smug jerk while he was campaigning.

Firmly entrenched with the "gang of no"

Once again I say, Mary Ann should RESIGN for the sake of the library, tonight, creating a 3-1 75% majority on the council in favor of the referendum. I don't think that Keener will give. Will Mary Ann give it all up for the sake of a referendum which might not even pass? Tough call for Mary Ann. She has been a library champion like forever.

1243, yea, great NIMBY strategy. Knock-out MaryAnne, an essential, sane voice on City Council, and give John Keener a pass to block the Library vote.

John Keener has an opportunity to stand-up (as he said he would prior, and didn't at the 7/11 council meeting); and this time, he can allow the Library vote to move forward.

Why should Mary Ann be the one resigning so that people can vote on the library? How about Keener resigning, instead?

Mary Ann tries to get thing done. Keener simply says "No" to everything (except rent control.)

BTW - There's something unworkable about a law that says no council member can vote on a project located within 500 feet of their property. What happens if we were to have two council members within 500 feet of a project? Then nothing would get the required 2/3 vote of council members.

Keener got taken to the woodshed last night. He was visibly shaken as his notions were disassembled one by one. The ocean rise gambit was disproven by the city hired expert. One of keener's few allies (7 total out of well over 100 attending) was shouted down by the audience as this person described beach blvd neighborhood getting used to no seawall and managed retreat. Speakers were 5-1 in favor of library and audience was 95%+ pro library.

Big reality check for "let the ocean chew through pacifica" as they got steamrolled by property owners who reject the fantasy.. and a town cut in half...

Kick a mean dog they just come back meaner. Bet he's conniving right now with Bohner and the minions to see what they can do to screw this city some more. Mind your backside P-town, Keener is an evil person who will seek retribution.
