The U.S. Coast Guard responded to the incident around 2 p.m. and staged a water rescue near the Pacifica Pier after the couple was knocked into the water, according to Coast Guard Lt. Marcia Medina. The woman was pulled to safety by an unknown party by the time rescuers arrived, but Larry Moore appeared to be unconscious when he was pulled from the water.
Both the man and the woman were taken to a hospital. The woman’s condition has not yet been released."
Related, ABC 7 News, 2/9/16, 7:31 pm, includes video 1:45 minutes. "Coast Guard rescue man from ocean off Pacifica Coast, condition unknown." .... "When the fire crews arrived, they found the female adult on the
shoreline. She was able to walk, with help, to an ambulance and taken to
the Seton Medical Center. A rescue swimmer was lowered into the
ocean and helped bring the adult man to shore. Rescue crews believe the
man may have been in the water for more than 15 minutes."
