The legacy of Nick Gust is essentially the history of Pacifica through a unique prism. His successes are evident in the long-lived endurance of his business ventures. These restaurants and motel helped define the tourist narrative of Pacifica. His passing will be officially noted by the city with the flying of the flag at half mast at City Hall. Nick will be greatly missed. My sympathy to the family for their loss.
Nick will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. An icon, a pioneer a fixture in Pacifica long before there was a Pacifica. Thanks for all the crab sandwiches and good times Nick. My sincere sympathies to family and friends.
He was corrupt, and sat around playing small town mob boss to get ahead.
