Stop wasting our money

"Editor:  I can't believe this town wants to put a tax on phones now. Every time I turn around they are taxing us more.

I'm retired on a fixed income but that doesn't stop them from taking more and more of the money I need to get by. The sewer tax, water rate increase, garbage rates, fire tax, where does it end? 

I know I can get an exemption on this one, but that's no excuse for the city to tax and tax and tax. What about all the poor people who can't afford to pay the tax on their phones? They don't get an exemption. Anyone who is for this should be ashamed for costing poor people even more money just so the city can waste it on iPads and consultants. 

I'm voting no and so is my whole family."
