5. Waste water treatment plant chemical foam root control services agreement through Duke's Root Control, Inc., two year guarantee, cost not to exceed $50,000.
6. Amendment 12, Wilsey Ham consultant design services for the Route 1, San Pedro Creek Bridge Replacement and Creek Widening Project. Cost is $97,712 from the Highway 1 Fund 12, to be reimbursed by the San Mateo County Transportation Authority.

How many more months are the fire guys going to "Negotiate" with the City??
Maybe because Ritzma, isn't on board any longer to just hand out pay raises every chance she had.

1138 Don't worry about those guys! All raises will be retroactive. And there will be raises. For that, remember to thank Council. They call the shots, approve the contracts, and count on you to blame Ritzma or their latest shill.
1249 If you live around there, anything would be an improvement. Limited and probably very temporary improvement. The crap about a new downtown is pure fantasy. Wonder how those things get started.
The $35 million dollar library is pure pipe dream.
It will never happen. Taxypayers will not give this city council another dime in bond money.
Plus they have the pipe dream of getting another $50 million or so to fix the poop plant.
10:19 the scary thing is that Council doesn't need our approval to float a 35 million dollar bond for the library. Same as when they approved the 20 mil for Calpers pensions
Alright, that's enough. Time for fact checking. Is Fogel available? Would a library bond measure go on the ballot, or, as 1142anon implies, be up to council alone?
I think I heard the library bond has to go to public vote.
Infastructure or the pension bonds do not.
That's the way I heard it at council.

I know I'm against spending that kind of money on a library so council can have a fancy meeting room.
No wonder there's no bites on that property. Just sell the friggin land to a developer and let them do what they like with it.
A library bond must go to a public vote, and because it's for a specific purpose, a 2/3 majority is required.
(Measure V, because it would go into the general fund, needs only 50% +1 to pass.)
Amen to that, Hutch! Just sell it before the whole thing falls in the ocean.
Hutch, if this city had any real interest in development that property would have already been sold.
