  1. Seriously, on a Friday night?

These people must not have much going on in their lives.

Just as bad as setting up the finance meeting on a Sunday.

    epic failure

  2. Maybe the Chamber should have checked with you about date and time. Busy social life I guess.
Frankly, I'm glad the Chamber is hosting a forum. Nice to see them back "in action".

And, who goes out before 9PM on a Friday nite!

  3. Yep pretty much larry

You will be out with curly and moe!

  4. @832 The 3 Stooges are epic. Candidates night is not epic no matter what screwy time it's scheduled.

  5. Political candidates and this Chamber...it's like herding cats.

  6. How can Campbell get both the Sierra Club endorsement AND the labor endorsement?! It's Vreelandly.

  7. I know Howard, it's absolutley quackers! Vree's mini-me is running true to form.

  8. ABC=Anyone but Campbell

  9. I will be there. Thank you for posting this.

  10. O'Neill for the 2 year seat. A vote for anyone else in that contest will put Campbell on council. An EPA attorney is an automatic roadblock we don't need.

  11. The Chamber had to work around Channel 26 to have our forum televised so Friday night it was. If you're interested you'll be there or at least DVR it. Believe me Anon 8:32 AM, I have way more going on then to be checking blog sites at 8:32 AM on Sunday morning.

  12. Is that true about Campbell getting the Sierra Club endorsement?

The same Sierra Club that was trying to close the golf course?

Can you say "kiss of death"

  13. Sierra Club endorsement, "The same Sierra Club that was trying to close the golf course?" Hutch, 12:53 PM.

Is that the same Sierra Club that is against our highway widening, and development of the quarry?

If so, that information should be spread. Picking up trash to improve the environment is one thing, crippling and closing down our city is another.

  14. And according to a post on another thread "DeJarnatt, Digre, and Leo Leon all have yard signs supporting Campbell."

The pro economy, business, development folks should get behind their candidates fast. When will the Chamber know who they're supporting?

  15. The god ole Chamber of Realtors

    ReplyDelete
  16. Anon 3:14 PM What does that mean?

  17. Could there be a dilemma at the chamber about whom to endorse? You've publicly declared your political activism. Now what?

  18. 404, margarita time baby!

  19. Screamin'" Ed Schultz..Lawrence O'Donnell..Chris Matthews...Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly. Steve Sinai 12:11 PM

And that's your bias. Never thought of Lawrence O'Donnell as a "screamer". I'm more concerned with content. And I'm worried that this nation is on its way to becoming a owned corporation collective.

Anonymous, 1:05 PM, my view is that allowing anonymous brutish personal attacks against other bloggers chases away milder voices. For example, why is it there are so few women who comment under their own names? I know that some men and women do not comment on this blog, because they object to both anonymous comments and mean attacks. Eventually they are the target. The bottom line is that bloggers addressing issues, ideology and having fun is reasonable. Anonymous cavemen beating up on each other and targeting named individuals is primitive.

  20. Kathy, did you not notice that I also mentioned "Screamin'" Sean Hannity and "Screamin'" Bill O'Reilly.

  21. "I also mentioned "Screamin'" Sean Hannity and "Screamin'" Bill O'Reilly." Steve Sinai 4:59 PM

Yes I saw that, noted in the title of my return comment, 4:46 PM. FMV Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly are dealing only with a far right biased deck. Might as well watch Red Eye on Fox. An Anonymous comment mentioned The Onion, probably exclude that one.

An MSNBC news conversation program. moderated by Joe Scarborough (Republican), co-host Mika Brzezinski, critical and criticism political commentary: Morning Joe. Some "latest clips" video are available. The actual program airs 6-9 AM Eastern, 3-6 AM Western. Lots of guests, some drop in. You may have found the website already. Too many good political programs and too much news to follow.

  22. It's about time the Chamber grew a set. Time to push a pro-business agenda. Makes sense.

And, duh "publicly declared your political activism". What, exactly, is the Chamber of Commerce supposed to do?
    Bake sales?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Calm down 711, nothing wrong with a good bake sale but the chamber's political activism is way over due and now that they've declared it, how about some endorsements? Even for those who closely follow the race and know the candidates, it's not such an easy decision particularly in the race for the 4 year seat. For those voters who don't follow things that closely a chamber endorsement would help make undecided voters less vulnerable to the inevitable campaign hype, half-truths and impressive credentials. We're seeing who the Sierra Club and the Labor Council endorse, how about our own business community? These tired old questions and responses aren't enough. Just saying...

  24. The chamber will probably make an endorsement after their forum Friday night.

  25. Pacifica has a chamber of commerce?

    Pacifica has commerce?

    Could have fooled me.
