Officers were advised that Maria “Marlies” Jansen was last seen by her husband in the area of their home a few hours prior. Her husband was not able to locate her. A search of nearby areas and homes yielded no results, and the assistance of the San Mateo County Sheriff Search and Rescue Unit was enlisted. As of 0400hrs on 07-26-12 members of the SMCS Search and Rescue and Pacifica Police continue to search for the missing woman. Maria Jansen is described as a white female adult, 76 years of age, 5’5”, 100lbs., and having brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing bright yellow ‘croc’ type shoes.
