  3. First prediction is always free. The Second I have to charge you $100.00

  4. Nostradamus, you can kiss my senior exemption! You got anything coming through on V?? Better not be a vision of Nihart and Stone twerking some victory dance. Ugh.

  5. I'd pay to see those two twerk. Oh wait, if they're twerking I will be paying, won't I?

  8. Did anyone else see the DBA notice in the Trib for Breakers at 145 Rockaway? I wonder what that is. The address looks like the Best Western.

  9. 145 Rockaway is the old Playa de Acapulco Restaurant. Not good to have this very visible empty storefront in our only paying-visitor area. Something new would be swell.

  10. No twerking for me,maybe a little snoopy dance. On a more serious note I hope that Council will be open to working with me as I wish to help in anyway possible to grow Pacifica's economic foundation. A strong and profitable business community is the only true way to fund the City.

  11. Will be a breakfast and lunch restaurant.

  12. That's outstanding new, Chris Porter. Another breakfast choice for hotel guests and locals is great news.

  13. Tom, keep your considerable dignity, go with Snoopy. About Council being open to working with you? That's not why Council put your face on wanted posters all over town. No no no.

  14. Guess I'll need to wear my bullet proof vest to the Council meeting on Tuesday. I applied for a seat on the Economic Development Committee and I want to see if they are brave enough appoint me.

Plus I feel Honor bond to tell City Council that it must take control of it's Subcommittees. Subcommittees must hold their meeting in public and spend no money without full Council approval. The Public must be let back into the process.

  15. Tom

I can see it going down like this:

You walk into City Council they do the pledge of allegence. Then it goes dark like the last episode of the Sopranos.

  16. What no bright light at the end of a tunnel for me. Nooooo

  17. You be careful, Tom. Might be better to catch a movie instead of that Council meeting. Perhaps The Stepford Stakeholders, the gender-neutral new version of the Stepford Wives. Chilling in its implications. Another choice, the New Manchurian Candidates, set in a dumpy CA coastal town, where no matter who they elect, nothing ever changes. These are cautionary tales, Tom. Careful, lest you be cast in a bit part.

  18. But Tom, don't you know it wasn't the council sub-committee of Nihart and Stone that made that initial expenditure, it was some
city staffer. The rules are, keep it under $25K and they don't have to put it on an agenda. Yeah, public money being spent secretly. Have they started claiming it was a rogue staffer? As a separate issue, is this non-agenda loophole really about making operations simpler, or is it about creating plausible deniability for those times when the shit hits the fan? How is such a loophole in the public's best interest?

  19. Stepford Husbands is a gruesome alternative to the lyrical and pithy Stepford Wives comedy. I cried, I laughed and cried again. Stepford Husbands is a true horror flick in the B movie tradition of Roger Corman.

It's at the Linda Mar video store.

  20. Bit part comes with a script and improv is firmly discouraged.

  21. Does Stepford Husbands have chain-saws? 'Cause I don't see movies unless they have chain-saws.

  22. These are rare moments of insight. Profound.

  23. Steve the only chain saws are the minds of the wives of the Stepford Husbands.
