    Council still spending money like they are a rich city.

    The used truck market is flush and you can pick up good slightly used work trucks for 30-40% off the new truck price.

    I agree Anon 1008. Why not buy used vehicles 1 or 2 years old, still under warranty and they save a bundle?

    Do these people even negotiate or shop around or do they just pay the sticker price?

    Hey, we do still have mechanics on the city payroll, don't we? Or is that one of the "loser" jobs cut to protect "our best people"? Is that a great strategy or what?
