Non-Euclidean Arithmetic?

The following were taken on a sunny Sunday, May 1, 2011 between 3:30 PM and 4 PM. According to the sign on the community center, it was 75 degrees.

Hundreds of hikers on the trail to Mori's Point. (Actually there were about six or seven.)

Hundreds of visitors atop Mori's Point.

Well, two is almost a hundred, isn't it?

Those hundreds of visitors are just outside camera range.

    Nit pickers, a trail is a trail. Beautiful day and there's nobody there. Might be a couple dozen spread out on the promenade and levy walking their dogs but somebody is either geographically confused (other than Sinai) or is just a flat-out liar. There are no hundreds of walkers on these trails at any given time. The locals know this well. And they know what Wild Equity and ilk are up to.

    People aren't using the berm to get to Mori's Point. Most people walk to the end of the berm, then turn right around and walk back. They don't use it because they want to go to Mori's Point or watch frogs and snakes.

    WEI has some nerve trying to claim that walkers along the berm somehow prove that people want a frog and snake preserve, when WEI ultimately wants to remove that same berm.

    People can always go to google maps and zoom in on the berm. Since there were shadows, I assume it was sunny. I counted a total of about 35 people and dogs on the berm, and it's doubtful that all of them were going to Mori's Point. Some were probably just going out a few hundred feet to find a spot on the beach.

    Wow, first Vreeland finds his way back and then bonnie Prince William marries brilliantly, and then the USA finds and executes Osama Bin Laden. God save the Queen and way to go USA!

    They were all at the beach and the shopping centers. Impossible to park. I love it. Only the butterflies and crickets were on the hills.

    Rockaway was busy May 1st (people walking around, and in restaurants), while these trails were empty. It was a beautiful day, bet the golf course was busy too.

    The trails are always empty. Only the berm and promenade get busy and that's dogwalkers and visitors. We could attract a lot more people if Sharp Park beach was a dog beach. That was supposed to happen yrs ago but sneaky pete shot it down. Think of all the business that could bring to that area for cafes and even pet related shops.
