A little birdie tells me there may be an important announcement at this meeting!

Any important announcements made?

Vreeland, no show. That's 5 council meetings and untold study sessions. So if you want no show Jimmy to not represent you again, you know who to vote for.

Saw most of the replay. T-mobile gets its tower (the law is on their side).

Citizen communications.
1. Hal Bohner, Dyer Crouch, Noel Blinco (Open Space Committee) and Bill Colins (local Sierra Club)advocated for bringing in USA Fish and Game advisement regarding the Snowy Plover on Linda Mar Beach. Reason? Attempted direction to cause restrictions for closing our urban beach to humans and dogs (my opinion of that team effort).

2. Tod Schlesinger promoted Jeff's blog by advising "if you want to know what's going on with city council candidates go to this website (for most of his 3 minutes, he held up a sign with "Jeffs bigmouth.blogspot.com" address.

Tod also commented that we never hear what is going on in closed hearings. Good point, we should hear more.

3. Tom Clifford offered a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of anyone who is removing or the destruction of candidate signs. His comment was "this has been going for years and it needs to stop." He's right!

As "The Watcher" 1:54pm said, no Vreeland--MIA again. Some would say if he can't show-up, and doesn't appear to have done his job bringing-in a balanced economy to this city for 8 years why is he getting paid?

When I was driving around town about 8 o'clock last night, I could have swore I saw Jim Vreeland taking down Tom Clifford's signs.

Where is the T-mobile tower going to be placed?
